How Yuva Bharat collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

We respect your privacy. Yuva Bharat does not sell your personal data to any third party. This policy explains clearly what we collect and why.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account registration: Name, mobile number, email address, and profile photo when you sign up.
- Profile information: City, district, exam category preferences you set in your profile.
- Contact form: Name, email, mobile number, and message when you reach out to us.
- Mock test responses: Your answers, score, and timing data during mock tests.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent in the app, and tap events.
- FCM token: Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to send push notifications to your device.
- IP address: Collected for security and fraud prevention purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information strictly to operate and improve the Yuva Bharat app:
- Create and manage your account and authentication.
- Provide personalized content based on your exam preferences.
- Send push notifications about new exams, current affairs, job openings and scholarship deadlines.
- Display your scores and rank on the leaderboard.
- Analyze usage patterns to improve app features and performance.
- Respond to your contact form messages and support requests.
- Ensure platform security and prevent unauthorized access.
3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these limited cases:
- Firebase (Google): For push notification delivery via Firebase Cloud Messaging. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting provider: Our servers are hosted on a cloud provider (Ubuntu VPS). Server logs may contain IP addresses.
- Legal obligation: If required by Indian law, court order, or government authority.
- Safety: If necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Yuva Bharat or its users.
Leaderboard data (name and score) is visible to other app users as part of the competitive ranking feature.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secured servers located in India. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes — never in plain text.
- API communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- JWT tokens with expiry for session management.
- Regular server security updates and monitoring.
While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
5. Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: View your profile and account information at any time from the app.
- Update: Edit your name, email, photo, and preferences from the Profile section.
- Delete: Request deletion of your account by contacting us. We will delete your data within 30 days.
- Notifications: Disable push notifications from your device settings at any time.
- Data portability: Request a copy of your data by contacting us at the address below.
6. Children's Privacy
Yuva Bharat is designed for students aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
7. Push Notifications
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications about:
- New exam notifications and important date alerts.
- Latest current affairs and GK updates.
- New job listings and scholarship opportunities.
- Platform announcements and feature updates.
You can disable notifications anytime from your device's Settings → Apps → Yuva Bharat → Notifications.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through a push notification or in-app alert for significant changes. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
